Environmental Impact
of the Sun
A significant portion of our electricity needs is met through rooftop solar power plants (SPPs) installed on our factory roofs. With our upcoming ground-mounted solar power project, scheduled to be commissioned in August 2025, we aim to further increase this ratio and minimize our carbon footprint. Our 10 MW ground-mounted SPP investment in Harran, Şanlıurfa, has successfully obtained its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report.
Once the plant becomes operational, our entire energy consumption will be sourced from renewable energy. This investment—expected to prevent approximately 10,000 tons of CO₂ emissions annually—represents a major step in our environmentally conscious production approach.
Smart Solutions
In line with our sustainable production philosophy, we meticulously manage the waste generated during our manufacturing processes:
- Recyclable waste is sorted and reintegrated into the production cycle, contributing to the efficient use of resources.
- Non-recyclable waste is disposed of regularly at licensed facilities in compliance with environmental regulations.
Our waste management processes aim to both minimize our environmental footprint and support the goals of a circular economy. At every step, we prioritize generating more value with less waste.
Sustainable Future
To reduce energy consumption and lower our carbon footprint, we continuously renew and optimize our machinery and production infrastructure with a focus on efficiency:
- We achieve greater output with less energy using next-generation, energy-efficient manufacturing technologies.
- Through rehabilitation of older equipment, the use of energy-saving components, and advanced automation systems, we significantly reduce electricity usage and emissions in our processes.
We see sustainability not only as optimizing existing processes, but also as designing and developing better alternatives. Powered by technology and innovation at every production stage, we integrate this vision into our operations. At the heart of this effort is our R&D Center, where:
- We develop projects aimed at reducing the use of non-recyclable materials to further minimize environmental impact.
- Thanks to digitalization, we monitor the environmental impact of production processes in real-time and implement data-driven improvements.
- We actively participate in TÜBİTAK-supported green transformation projects, continuing to lead the industrial transition toward sustainable technologies.
From R&D to production, we are constantly evolving our eco-friendly and future-focused manufacturing approach.
Preserving Our Water Resources
The rooftop rainwater harvesting system installed at our facility forms the foundation of our sustainable water management approach. Rainwater collected from roof surfaces is physically treated in specially designed sedimentation pools and reused in our production processes.
Through this system, we collect and utilize an average of 3,300 tons of rainwater annually, which helps to:
- Reduce our dependence on natural water resources,
- Achieve water consumption savings,
- Contribute to environmental sustainability.
With this practice, we reduce our environmental footprint and enhance resource efficiency. We recognize the value of every drop and strive to carry water forward to future generations.
